Matt Collins

Matt writes and produces music from a cellar under his house in north Yorkshire. Although having been involved in music since his teens it is only in the last few years that he has had the right hardware and software to produce the sort of sounds he considers make good dance music. Before with an 8 track, drum machine and keyboard he produced some right weird stuff which may well have had a market somewhere ( if he ever managed to finish anything off  that is ) but just didn't have the production quality needed. “With my present set up however, It never ceases to amaze me how professional the quality is I can achieve and that has definitely encouraged me to first of all actually finish stuff and secondly to have the confidence to send it out, which has obviously paid off.”

Now living in London and exposed to new music but still soaking up new ideas and sounds.

Little x

Little X is the meeting of two guys, one living between Japan and France, the other living in Paris. Pierre Pointeau played bass, guitar, tuba and piano with a few bands when he joined Romain Daumont who was addicted to the mouse. They started to mess about with the unlikely samples of Whales, Squels, Monkey Shouts, Renaissance violin, brass form Japanese TV series, neighbours blablabla.....to cook a frenzy of electrohouseythopoppy music. Their first LP, produced by the label Rollmops is about to come out. They grow orange sounds, wait for them to be very mellow and juicy for your ears....

Pariah Project

The Pariah Project is largely driven by the partnership of Christopher Allan Cleator (engineer, guitarist, keyboards) and Taryn Laronge (vocals). Their first release, an EP entitled Desolation, is an experimental project combining organic instruments and electronica with impressionistic lyrics and cathartic vocals. The EP’s sound lends itself to a fundamental appreciation for both technological and organic genres, combining a mixture of organs, detunned guitars, programmed drumbeats, and string sections. When asked why they called themselves Pariah Project, Taryn Laronge offers the following explanations; "We wanted to make a statement by exploring provocative and controversial #subjects. We were looking for a word which expresses the feeling of being an outsider in society, like watching a movie all the time. This is something that we both can relate to as artists."

Paul West

Paul is based in Leeds and has been DJing for four years, having experimented broadly with different styles of music before developing his own opinions of what he was really into. A liking for a slower tempo, instruments, cultures, cut-up beats and good production has led Paul to play at many successful nights. These have included "Shuffle" at various locations in the North of England, "Northern Light" at the Mint club in Leeds and currently at small events and bars in Nottingham, including The Media club, Beatroot and the Bomb, as well as hosting a post club radio show. Paul is also composing and producing his own music.
